We
are challenged by the command of Christ to “make disciples of all nations”
(Matthew 28:19) and to “be my witnesses…to the end of the earth” (Acts
1:8). As a congregation we endeavor to fulfill our Lord’s direction by
placing a priority on the dissemination of the gospel and the penetration of
the culture in word and action.
The
proclamation of the word and the declaration of the life cannot in actuality be
separated; however, missions
emphasizes our partnership with those called to a ministry of evangelization,
while mercy focuses on the
furtherance of the Kingdom of God by seeking the welfare of the city in which
we live as exiles.
