The word "church"
means assembly. Although God's people are the church 24/7, we are
particularly the church when we meet together to worship God and encourage each
other.
Jesus promises that where
his people gather together, he also meets with them. We meet together
weekly in the presence of our Savior to listen to his words and humbly and
enthusiastically respond as whole people: with head, heart, and hands.
Our worship time consists of
congregational singing, praying, and sharing, the hearing of God's word by
public reading and teaching, and by celebrating our fellowship with Jesus and
his Body at the Lord's Table.
